Contest Rules: Each student selects his own subject and the only boundaries are those set by the individual writers.
The Saints Alumni Association would like to thank Mr. John Lamerato, Chairman of the English Dept. for all his efforts in the Alumni sponsored Poetry and Senior Writing Contests. Without his work on campus, these contests would not be possible.
The Alumni Association would also like to give thanks to the many judges who have committed to this program. They bring experience and expertise from many different walks of life to provide fair and open minded judgement for our young poets. The judges for the 3rd annual Alumni Poetry Contest were: For the Senior Class—Ryan Luz ’04, Kelly McNeil ’04, Dave DeCelles ’70, Joe Morstad ’98 and Mark Jonson ’83. The Junior judges were Joe DiTomaso ’54, Duncan McIntosh ’54, Bob Kevane ’62, Andy Castagnola ’62 and Paul Brister ‘67. The Sophomore Class judges were: John Bowman ’74 hon., Dave Gonzalez ’67, Wayne Bradley ’67, David Davey ’70 and Bob Spence ’64. The Freshmen judges were Greg Ranney—retired Saints teacher, Brian Babb ’97, Mike DeCelles ’97, Andy Richardson ’98, Billy Morstad ’12 and Winnie Arnn—retired Saints teacher.
