From the gridiron of the 60’s to the soon to be glory of the new football program the Alumni Association would like to invite all past players, students and supporters to to check out the new team and coaching staff. The event starts at 3pm with football practice ending at 4pm. Show up to watch the end of practice, then meet with the team and new coaching staff, with Ron saying a few words.

The Association will be providing food and drinks, just RSVP and let us know how many are coming.

We will also be remembering the honor of Joe DiTomaso class of ’54, who was a football letterman and eventually became head coach of Saints football from ’65-’71. He led Saints to 4 League titles from ’67-’70. In the 1970 season he brought home Saints’ first CIF championship in football history, as well as a perfect 12-0 record.

About Ron Caragher - New Coach

St. Augustine High School is proud to announce the hiring of Ron Caragher as its new head football coach. Coach Caragher, former head football coach at USD and San Jose State, will become the school’s 25th head coach in its 101-year history.

“We are excited for the opportunity to have Coach Caragher come on board at Saints,” said Matt Linville, Director of Athletics. “Hiring such an experienced, dedicated, and well-respected person is a huge win for Saints. Coach Caragher is a man who believes in community, faith, and education and we are thrilled to have him.”
