Dan was born November 4, 1948. He attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School in National City before Saints. After graduation from Saints he worked as a electrician while attending San Diego State University where he earned a BS in Chemistry. He was named apprentice of the year for The San Diego Building Trades Council after completing a four year apprenticeship through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 569. He used his electrician skills to work with Father Smith on the parishes in Alaska. Dan never married. He became disabled in his early forties and retired from the Local 569. He spent the rest of his life assisting his elderly parent and helping others in the community.
